Vice President of Technology: Jeremy Daugherty
Duties of Office
The Vice President of Technology’s primary focus is to provide a technology infrastructure, including chapter website, social networking and other communications tools in support of the chapter.
Biography
Jeremy Daugherty is a consultant and trainer specializing in mobile, social, and presentation based communications.
With more than a decade of experience in communications and technology, he is a recognized resource for navigating today’s socially networked, always on, smart device driven world. Understanding that strong relationships are the key success, Jeremy helps clients both develop personalized communications strategies and master the applications and devices needed to manage them.
Jeremy began his career with renowned Danish audio-visual manufacturer Bang & Olufsen (B&O) where he designed, trained, and provided technical support for networked home theater systems to distinguished clients nationwide. After his success at B&O Jeremy became a freelance multi-media designer while honing his management and customer service skills at Fortune 100 companies such as Best Buy, Sears, Sprint and Walgreen’s. It was during this time that Jeremy realized his true passion was educating others about technology rather than creating things with it.
In 2005 he chose to pursue this passion and focused his energies on obtaining a Masters degree in Educational Technology from Western Michigan University. Wanting to quickly apply this new knowledge, Jeremy moved to Lansing in 2006 to work for a local education management organization. There he was awarded over $4.5 million in federal grants while he trained educational professionals how to enhance the learning environment with technology. His technical knowledge, friendly demeanor, and expressive personality allowed him to excel to such a degree that in 2009 Jeremy founded Adams Daugherty & Associates where he serves as the principal consultant and trainer.
On a more personal note, Jeremy is a life-long Midwest native. Having grown up in Southwestern Wisconsin dairy country, he has a great love for cheese, beer, wine and their many varieties. After the daily grind, he can often be found reading at local coffee shops, hiking in the great outdoors, cooking with his wonderful spouse Adrienne, or playing fetch with his Boxer, Maggie.
