Appreciative Inquiry
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is an organizational change process of asking powerful questions directed toward envisioning a desirable future, in order to jumpstart collaboration and positive change. AI has been used as a catalyst to bring out the best in businesses, institutions, and communities of all types and sizes.
In this interactive session, you will learn the basic principles of AI, and practice writing your own powerful appreciative questions. You will join other participants in brainstorming creative techniques for incorporating AI questioning in corporate settings, and share ideas for using AI in your own business.
Your facilitator, Chris Willis has shepherded Media 1 from its early roots as a technical communications firm through a difficult break-even phase to its recent period of sustained, profitable growth. Along the way she has solicited the help of area services such as Grand Valley State University’s Michigan Small Business & Technical Development Center, as well as building a strong network through Leadership Connect, CEO Roundtable, and Peerspectives. She has positioned Media 1 as a “boutique” consulting firm with the agility and experience to develop customer learning and performance solutions for some of the world’s largest global corporations while remaining proud of both her roots and the small-town West Michigan locale in which she operates.
