Mid Michigan Chapter Presents: Designing and Developing Participant and Leader Guides
As trainers, we are continually challenged to develop and design a training program with minimal time and often minimal resources. Over the last 10 years, Stephanie Badgley has learned several tricks that assist with the development of good design. After all, many of us spend the most time developing the overall course layout before we ever actually begin to design. This session will share some of what Stephanie has learned when it comes to developing and designing a new training program. Topics that will be discussed include:
- The importance of creating a training manual template and how it can save you time.
- How to create a training manual template in Microsoft Word.
- Different types of training templates that can be used depending on the subject matter.
- How to create a Leader’s Guide to support the training manual.
Stephanie has been a Corporate Trainer with GreenStone Farm Credit Services for 2 years. Prior to being at Greenstone, Stephanie worked for 10 years at Jackson National Life.
She has a BA in Adult Education and is finishing up her thesis for a Master’s in Adult Learning at Central Mich University.
